Sandy Allen specializes in working with women, couples and individuals, facing various life and relational transitions. She strives to help each client learn to genuinely grow in mindful self-awareness and self-acceptance. 

Marriage and Family Therapy

Sandy Allen is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 15 years of experience as a psychotherapist.  She obtained her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology and her graduate degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University Northridge, graduating Cum Laude Honors.

Lastly, she is Level 1 and Level 2 trained in the Gottman Method. This is an evidence-based therapeutic approach in couples counseling that focuses heavily on teaching couples the communication skills needed to increase relational understanding and connection.  

Postpartum Counseling 

She is certified as a perinatal mental health specialist,  specializing with postpartum mothers and partners, helping couples to transition from couple-hood to family-hood, which is no easy task for most.

Childhood Trauma Counseling

She holds basic training in EMDR. This qualifies her to aid individuals in overcoming childhood trauma and finding freedom from overwhelming trigger responses.
